What exactly is in the rent?
Your furnished room, electricity up to a fair-use cap, Wi-Fi, housekeeping, common-area upkeep, water, power backup and security. Meals are included at properties that run a kitchen, and we’ll tell you which on the visit.
Is there really no brokerage?
None. You book the visit yourself on this site or by phone, and the agreement is directly with Shft-in. Nobody in the chain is owed a finder’s fee.
What’s the minimum stay?
Most homes run on a three-month minimum with a one-month notice after that. Some buildings do shorter. Ask when you visit, and we’ll be straight about it.
Can I see the room before paying anything?
That’s the whole point of the visit. Nothing is payable to look, and we hold the room you like for 24 hours free while you think.
How does the deposit work?
A refundable security deposit, stated in your agreement along with the return timeline. Deductions, if any, are itemised, with no round numbers invented at checkout.
Who fixes things when they break?
You raise it in the resident app, it goes to our in-house team, and you can see the status. No calling a landlord who is somewhere else.
